Save money 💰 shopping the Dollar Spot and using your imagination for Christmas! Look at some of the deals I found and let’s see what ideas we can come up with for these awesome items.
SNOWBALLS
Who doesn’t love a good snowball fight? Perfect size soft balls for little hands. And they don’t hurt when you get ganged up on by your little angels! 😇
Choose teams, create a “barrier” inbetween teams with a low bookshelf and pummel your opponents! Get creative and let each team build a “fort“ or wall to hide behind instead. Look around, can you use blocks, Large LEGO’s, tables and sheets? This is the fun part and excitement only builds as everyone giggles and works to have the best protection from those soft snowballs. Make it a contest! Be sure to set the rules: team members must stay on their own side. Each person can only hold 2 snowballs at a time. No hoarding! No crossing lines to get a snowball. Set a timer and stop every 7-10 minutes to regroup and decide who the winner is.
Try using these snowballs for a STEM project. Provide tape, felt and buttons along with 3 snowballs per team and instruct them to build a snowman! Super fun!!
MINIATURES
Make a snow globe
by gluing a mini truck with a tree or wreath on top of it to the lid of a jar. Put a small laminated picture of your child next to it and add water with glitter. Glue the lid on tight and turn upside down. Cheap gift!!
WOOD “look” CARDBOARD BANNER
This one is perfect as a parent gift! Take pictures of kids in nice warm hat, scarf, boots, coat- whatever. Print miniature (most printers have multiple picture setting that allows several pictures per page making them smaller). Cut the cord and take each piece off the banner. Glue the picture strategically on. Insert new cord for hanging. Ta-Da!
Instant ornaments! 9 individual cardboard pictures per $3 banner! Super affordable!
PAINT THESE ADORABLE CERAMIC BUILDINGS
Use them as a gift or put them in your block area, on the floor. The kids will love painting them and each one will be unique! Check with your art teacher if she is able to fire them and glaze them for you. Only $3. Perfect!!
Maybe you’d like to let kids paint these ornaments for a gift? $1 spent and includes paint. Perfect gift for parents! (*I have no control over the mislabeled tags on these shelves! Price is correct, item description is wrong!)
